MIND FIRE
“Don’t always believe what your eye sees”
A psychological thriller about a group of medical research scientists who are invited by a renowned Professor on a three day expedition to study a rare strain of crossbreed ants; ones which they believe contain a gene that could hold the key to human longevity.
Thirty year old Ben Quaid is one of those chosen for what should be the high point of his career and his chance to move on from a painful past mistake. He is not even concerned that among the team is his recently engaged ex-girlfriend Madison Casey.
As the group is led by the Professor deep into the forest, it quickly becomes apparent that things are not as they seem and the first night one of the party is found gruesomely killed with the ants seen near the body.
As the Professor heads off to find help the remaining group are forced to confront their fears. Encounters with the ants increases dramatically and another frightening death occurs.
With the Professor now missing and the realization that the ants are not what they seem, Ben is forced to lead the group on a frightening journey of survival.
Who is watching them from a distance at all times and why are they unable to escape the ants territory? Why were each of them chosen in the first place and which one of the remaining group knows far more than the others?
Things come to climax when a terrifying secret is uncovered and it seems that this may not be about predators but something based on the mind altering abilities of a genius scientist.
